Neurodiversity Coaching: MCC Neurodiversity Coaching
Our neurodiversity coaching provides a non-clinical, strengths-based space for children, teens, adults, and families to build skills that support everyday life.
Coaching focuses on executive function, routines, identity exploration, sensory-aware strategies, communication, and self-advocacy - all without clinical treatment or medical documentation. Coaching is collaborative, practical, and future-focused. It helps individuals understand themselves, navigate daily demands, and build confidence in ways that feel authentic and sustainable.
This service is not occupational therapy and does not replace evaluation, treatment, or clinical care. Instead, it complements OT by supporting the whole person — their identity, their environment, and their lived experience.
What are some examples of how coaching can help an individual and/or their family?
Executive Function Skills Helping a teen break homework into steps and create a simple after‑school routine that actually works for their brain.
Daily Routines & Organization Supporting a parent and child in building a morning routine that reduces overwhelm and gets everyone out the door with less stress.
Sensory‑Aware Strategies Identifying what environments feel supportive and creating a plan for navigating loud stores, busy classrooms, or family events.
Identity & Self‑Understanding Guiding a young adult in exploring their neurodivergent identity and learning how to advocate for what helps them thrive.
Communication & Social Navigation Practicing scripts, boundaries, or conversation strategies for school, work, or home so interactions feel more predictable and manageable.
Emotional Regulation Tools Helping a child or teen build a personalized “calm plan” they can use when they feel overwhelmed or stuck.
Parent Coaching & Family Support Working with caregivers to understand their child’s needs, reduce conflict, and create a home environment that supports everyone.
School & Life Advocacy Preparing a student or parent to communicate needs clearly during meetings, transitions, or new environments.
Motivation & Task Initiation Co‑creating systems that help someone start tasks without shame‑based approaches or unrealistic expectations.
Transitions & Life Changes Supporting a teen moving to high school, a young adult starting a job, or a family adjusting to a new routine.

Coaching is not only offered in Ohio, but we also offer services across the United States virtually and are not limited in location.
What are the requirements for sessions? We offer simple, supportive session in 30, 45, or 60-minute increments. We require you being in an area where virtual services are able to be uninterrupted and quiet.
Is coaching just for children? No. Neurodiversity coaching is ideal for children, teens, adults, and families who want guidance without clinical treatment
Can my coaching overlap with occupational therapy? No. MCC’s occupational and coaching services are to remain separate in both payment and service. Due to licensure constraints we have to bill, document, and serve OT separate from coaching.
