Ohio’s FY 2026–2027 Developmental Disabilities Budget Sets a New National Benchmark
Ohio’s newly enacted FY 2026–2027 budget marks the largest investment in developmental disabilities services in state history. With $5.5 billion allocated for 2026 and $5.75 billion for 2027, Ohio now stands among the highest-funded DD systems in the nation. This historic 5–6% increase strengthens DSP wages, expands Medicaid‑funded supports, and provides county boards with greater stability, enhanced waiver capacity, and improved resources for technology-first services.
